The Shack Cafe

Established in 1949, is a beloved dining spot in Missoula, known for its delicious meals throughout the day, particularly breakfast. Far from being a humble establishment, this charming eatery is located in a historic former auto dealership and offers a wide variety of classic American dishes.

As you step through the swinging doors into the cafe’s saloon area, you’ll be greeted by an oak bar that was transported to Montana via steamship along the Missouri River over one hundred years ago.

We offer crafted meals that are created with real quality ingredients to satisfy discriminating diners. Only here can you find huckleberry pancakes, real maple syrup, fresh roasted and ground coffee, locally baked breads and desserts, unique sandwiches, and a remarkably varied dinner menu that will satisfy carnivores and vegetarians. From fresh orange juice to local microbrews and wines by the glass we have it all.

Our dinner specials change every week, and we always offer fresh fish, vegetarian, and angus beef specials.
